The Encyclopdia of Milwaukee<\/a> provides a wealth of information about the city, with hundreds of entries<\/a> that touch on seemingly every aspect of its history.<\/p>\n

But one of the more interesting ways to enjoy the encyclopedia is to browse through its large collection of images<\/a>. There you’ll find old maps, newspaper clippings and page after page of photos: long-gone buildings, noted luminaries and regular people, festivals, sports stars and just plain unusual sights. For example, the baby hammocks<\/a>.<\/p>\n
