A new exhibit and conference room in 51ÁÔÆæ’s Golda Meir Library honor Sheldon Lubar<\/a>, a longtime generous supporter of the university and noted business person and philanthropist.<\/p>\n

The university marked the occasion with a celebration that coincided with Lubar’s 96th birthday.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy great hope is this: Whenever anyone spends some time here, and when they see Shel\u2019s name, they can be inspired by the great example that he has set by living a purposeful, meaningful life of service and leadership,\u201d 51ÁÔÆæ Chancellor Mark Mone said at the dedication ceremony.<\/p>\n

Lubar\u2019s longstanding support of 51ÁÔÆæ began in 1979, and over the years he and his wife have given nearly $22 million, benefiting the Sheldon B. Lubar College of Business, Lubar Entrepreneurship Center, Peck School of the Arts, 51ÁÔÆæ Libraries, faculty positions and over 1,000 student scholarships.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
