Donors who have included support for 51ÁÔÆæ in their estate plans were honored at the Chapman Society luncheon, held at the Wisconsin Club on June 19.<\/p>\n
The luncheon, which was sponsored by the 51ÁÔÆæ Foundation, featured a keynote presentation on how 51ÁÔÆæ is fostering student success by Dave Clark, vice provost for student success in the Division of Academic Affairs, and Kay Eilers \u201910, associate vice chancellor for the Division of Enrollment Management.<\/p>\n
During the event, Vice Chancellor of University Advancement Joan Nesbitt acknowledged donors who had recently died and called for a moment of silence.<\/p>\n
The Chapman Society is named after Alice G. Chapman, who made a $1 million bequest to fund the construction of Chapman Hall. She attended Milwaukee Female College and served on Milwaukee-Downer College\u2019s board of trustees (these schools were housed in the red brick buildings that are part of 51ÁÔÆæ\u2019s campus).
