Some two dozen people gathered Thursday for the 51ÁÔÆæ Men of Color event at the men’s basketball game vs. Detroit Mercy. This event provided an opportunity for Milwaukee peers, mentors, alums and staff to connect and network in VIP section courtside at the 51ÁÔÆæ Panther Arena<\/span>.<\/p>\n

The 51ÁÔÆæ Men of Color group formed in 2021 to provide support and networking opportunities for faculty, staff and students, as well as partners in the community including the MPS Black and Latino Male Achievement Program, Mentor Milwaukee and the African American Alliance of Milwaukee, as well as alumni.<\/p>\n

Attendees at Thursday’s event were treated to an evening of fellowship as well as a 94-89 Panther victory.<\/p>\n

Collaborating to make the event happen were 51ÁÔÆæ’s multicultural centers, the Division of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, the\u00a0Office of Undergraduate Admissions and men’s basketball coach Bart Lundy.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
