It wasn\u2019t the red carpet, but it was a celebration of the 51ÁÔÆæ clinic\u2019s delivering dose No. 10,000. It came as a complete surprise to Moser, a 51ÁÔÆæ alum who lives in the neighborhood.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI wish I\u2019d wore different clothes,\u201d he said as he removed his jacket for easier access to his upper arm. A jubilant Moser said getting the vaccine means he can soon visit his 92-year-old father, who he has not seen in 14 months. \u201cIt\u2019s been a heartbreaking time for me \u2013 and for people all over the world,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_92002\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-92002\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-92002\" src=\"https:\/\/uwm.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/41\/2021\/04\/20210413_IMC_EH_022_300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-92002\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">John Moser celebrates after getting his COVID-19 vaccine from 51ÁÔÆæ nursing student Cassidy Kolbeck. (51ÁÔÆæ Photo\/Elora Hennessey)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Moser, who grew up in Whitefish Bay, said he began college in Colorado, but ended up returning and finishing a geology degree at 51ÁÔÆæ. He worked in the field of environment assessment and hydrogeology, and later became a private equity investor.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/uwm.edu\/coronavirus\/vaccine-clinic\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">51ÁÔÆæ vaccination clinic<\/a>, a partnership with Advocate Aurora Health and the Milwaukee Health Department, opened to the general public on March 16. Staffed with nurses from Advocate Aurora and 200 51ÁÔÆæ students from the College of Nursing, the clinic has been administering 600 doses a day in recent weeks. Gov. Tony Evers and UW System Interim President Tommy Thompson toured the clinic on March 22.<\/p>\n<p>Anyone age 16 and older can make an appointment by filling out the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/milwaukee.qualtrics.com\/jfe\/form\/SV_2avvcsQ40gwApUO\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">vaccination interest
