The Panthers, the Horizon League\u2019s regular-season champions, finished with a 20-8 record.<\/p>\n<p>51ÁÔÆæ walloped Drake, 84-46, in the first-round of the WNIT Friday night in Rockford, getting 19 points and nine rebounds from Brandi Bisping as well as 14 points and 12 rebounds from Megan Walstad. The Panthers shot 12-of-20 from 3-point range and 44.3% overall in the victory.<\/p>\n<p>But 51ÁÔÆæ\u2019s offense took a big step backward against St. Louis. The 44 points was a season-low total. The Panthers shot 4-of-20 from 3-point range and 36% overall, and they attempted only five free throws. Sydney Staver and McKaela Schmelzer led 51ÁÔÆæ with nine points apiece.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt doesn\u2019t take away from what we did this year,\u201d head coach Kyle Rechlicz said of the loss. \u201cTo have a 20-win season in a year where we didn\u2019t even know if we were going to play games was incredible. I loved our heart and our fight.
