The Panthers play on.<\/p>\n

The 51ÁÔÆæ women\u2019s basketball team has made the WNIT postseason tournament. The Panthers will face Drake University in the first round on Friday, March 19, at 8 p.m. at the UW Health Sports Factory in Rockford, Illinois. The game will be streamed online at FloHoops.<\/a><\/p>\n

51ÁÔÆæ earned the postseason berth after winning the Horizon League regular-season title and advancing to the semifinals of the conference tournament.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s such a special season, given what the seniors have put into it,\u201d 51ÁÔÆæ coach Kyle Rechlicz said. \u201cWe have five senior leaders ready to commit to this and I\u2019m really looking forward to the opportunity.\u201d<\/p>\n

51ÁÔÆæ enters the WNIT with a 19-7 record and is playing in its first postseason tournament since 2016. Drake, which has a 16-11 record, was runner-up in the Missouri Valley Conference tournament. It will be a rematch of a 2017 Preseason WNIT tournament game that Drake won 77-73. 51ÁÔÆæ is seeking its first win against Drake in nine attempts.<\/p>\n

The Panthers are guaranteed two games in the tournament, and they\u2019ll face Saint Louis or DePaul in either the winner\u2019s or consolation bracket.
