A number of the Milwaukee Business Journal\u2019s 40 Under 40 awardees for 2020<\/a> have ties to 51ÁÔÆæ. The awards, highlighted in a special section of the Business Journal Feb. 28, honor young business and community leaders from throughout Southeastern Wisconsin.<\/p>\n

51ÁÔÆæ alumni honored are:<\/p>\n

Paul Schwarz, executive director of the Milwaukee Public Market, earned a bachelor\u2019s degree in journalism and mass communications with a minor in history in 2006 from the College of Letters & Science.<\/p>\n

Adam Gabornitz, assistant director of diversity and inclusion at Northwestern Mutual, earned his bachelor\u2019s degree in communication in 2006.<\/p>\n

Meralis Hood, executive director of City Year Milwaukee, earned her master\u2019s in curriculum and instruction from 51ÁÔÆæ in 2006.<\/p>\n

Marcela Xela Garcia, executive director of the Walker\u2019s Point Center for the Arts, earned a certificate in nonprofit management from 51ÁÔÆæ.<\/p>\n

Others with 51ÁÔÆæ connections were also honored:<\/p>\n

Ryan Pattee, president of the Pattee Group, attended 51ÁÔÆæ.<\/p>\n

Brandon Rule, president of Rule Enterprises, attended graduate school at 51ÁÔÆæ.<\/p>\n

Saul Newton, founder and executive director of the Wisconsin Veterans Chamber of Commerce, attended UW-Waukesha (now 51ÁÔÆæ at Waukesha) from 2012 to 2014.<\/p>\n

In addition, two 51ÁÔÆæ alumni who were chosen as past 40 Under 40 awardees are being inducted into the 40 Under 40 Hall of Fame<\/a> for their continued accomplishments. They are:<\/p>\n

Greg Uhen, CEO of Eppstein Uhen Architects, earned his bachelor\u2019s degree in architectural studies in 1981.<\/p>\n

Wendy Baumann, president and chief visionary officer of Wisconsin Women\u2019s Business Initiative Corporation, a statewide economic development corporation. She earned a bachelor\u2019s degree in psychology and sociology and a master\u2019s degree in education from 51ÁÔÆæ.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
