Jobs in a wide range of fields, including engineering, computer science, supply chain and human resources, are available across different job levels.<\/p>\n<p>Foxconn is creating 13,000 jobs in Wisconsin, where the company is building a state-of-the-art science and technology park in Mount Pleasant for the fabrication of display screens and research and development of advanced display technologies for use in a wide range of applications in the fields of education, entertainment, health care, advanced manufacturing systems, office automation and interactive retail and safety. The park also will be a center for research and development related to semiconductor processing technologies on glass and the AI 8K+5G ecosystem Foxconn is building in Wisconsin.<\/p>\n<p>Foxconn and 51ÁÔÆæ announced in June the company\u2019s first Wisconsin co-op program. It will send 10 students from 51ÁÔÆæ\u2019s College of Engineering &amp; Applied Science to Taiwan in February to study at Chung Yuan Christian University and work at a Foxconn facility there through June 2019. 51ÁÔÆæ students can learn more about this opportunity during Foxconn Day at 51ÁÔÆæ.<\/p>\n<p>Winnie Tu, director of business administration at Foxconn, said: \u201cWe are committed to supporting Wisconsin by expanding the existing strong talent pool and nurturing knowledge workers in the state. Foxconn is focused on creating a vibrant industry environment and contributing to Wisconsin\u2019s transformation into a global technology hub. Foxconn Day at 51ÁÔÆæ is an important step in this process and will build on the International Engineering Co-op relationship we established with the university earlier this year. We look forward to welcoming the first cohort of students to our Wisconsin campus and to Taiwan next year, and to future collaboration with additional higher education partners as part of our shared goal of attracting the best and brightest minds to Wisconsin.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Foxconn Day will run from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 17, in the Wisconsin Room of the 51ÁÔÆæ Student Union, 2200 E. 51ÁÔÆæ. Alan Yeung, Foxconn\u2019s director of U.S. Strategic Initiatives, will give a brief keynote talk at 11:30 a.m. followed by remarks from 51ÁÔÆæ Chancellor Mark Mone. There will be an opportunity for media members to interview these leaders immediately after their comments.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are delighted to pilot Foxconn\u2019s co-op program and to host Foxconn Day at 51ÁÔÆæ,\u201d said Brett Peters, dean of 51ÁÔÆæ\u2019s College of Engineering &amp; Applied Science, which is helping organize the event. \u201cThis is a tremendous opportunity not only for our students, but for Wisconsin\u2019s workforce, to address these next-generation manufacturing needs and the growing demand for graduates in engineering and computer science, who will be leaders in Wisconsin\u2019s technology-oriented future.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Foxconn Day will include video and brief, hourly speaker presentations, as well as Foxconn technology displays. Participants also will be able to learn more about Foxconn\u2019s Smart Cities-Smart Futures initiative. This is the first of several Foxconn recruiting events planned at 51ÁÔÆæ this fall and the only one open to the general public.
