Steph Kostowicz led the Panthers with 16 points, while Jenny Lindner added 11 points and 10 rebounds, and Alexis Lindstrom scored 10 points. 51ÁÔÆæ, with a record of 20-11, will wait to see if it receives an at-large bid to a postseason tournament.<\/p>\n
“I think when you have a 20-win season that there is definitely hope for the postseason, whether that’s the WNIT or the WBI,” said 51ÁÔÆæ coach Kyle Rechlicz, whose team played in last season’s WNIT, the program’s first postseason tourney bid in a decade. “I’m really trying to channel all of my energy into the fact that hopefully, some committee sees us as a valuable program with 20 wins.”<\/p>\n
51ÁÔÆæ trailed 37-31 at halftime, but stayed within striking distance of Green Bay throughout the second half and rallied to within 61-59 on a Kostowicz layup with 2:03 left in the game.<\/p>\n
