On Nov. 12 and 13, Dustin Liu of New York University\u2019s Stern Center will present an interactive workshop \u2014 <a href=\"https:\/\/uwm.edu\/set\/event\/purpose-by-design\/\">&#8220;Purpose by Design: Inspiring Student Exploration and Discovery&#8221;<\/a> \u2014 and a class session for educators, highlighting how they can play a critical role in helping students develop a strong sense of purpose. Both sessions take place at Vogel Hall.<\/p>\n<p>The workshop and class sessions are inspired by research on purpose development and design thinking. Attendees will experience five activities that can be used inside or outside the classroom to unlock creativity and support students in identifying their values and goals.<\/p>\n<p>Liu&#8217;s visit will include these sessions:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Nov. 12:<\/strong> 1-3:30 p.m. \u2014 Interactive educator workshop on activities that can be used with students.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Nov. 13:<\/strong> 11:30 a.m.-12:45 p.m. \u2014 Instructors will observe and participate in a combined class session from two courses (Communications Department, and Art and Design Department). Lunch will be provided.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>All attendees will be provided a copy of &#8220;Designing Your Life.&#8221; In addition, three instructors who attend the Nov. 13 session and work the exercises into a course in Spring 2026 will receive a $250 stipend.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/uwm.edu\/set\/event\/purpose-by-design\/\">Register at this
