If you can\u2019t, <a href=\"https:\/\/uwm.edu\/information-technology\/help\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">contact the 51ÁÔÆæ Help Desk<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Install updates. Here are instructions on how to check for <a href=\"https:\/\/kb.uwm.edu\/123439\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">updates for Windows<\/a>\u00a0and <a href=\"https:\/\/kb.uwm.edu\/105365\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Apple devices<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Check installed software. Confirm that the applications you need are installed and working as intended by testing them.<\/li>\n<li>Test your printer. Print a test page to make sure you can print from your computer. To add a new printer to your 51ÁÔÆæ-owned device, use our instructions for <a href=\"https:\/\/kb.uwm.edu\/42102\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Windows<\/a>\u00a0and <a href=\"https:\/\/kb.uwm.edu\/74526\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Apple<\/a> devices.<\/li>\n<li>Check mapped network drives. If your department or group use the \u201cShares\u201d network drive, make sure you can access them. To check mapped network drives, use our instructions for <a href=\"https:\/\/kb.uwm.edu\/42102\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Windows<\/a>\u00a0and <a href=\"https:\/\/kb.uwm.edu\/53627\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Apple<\/a> devices.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>For instructors:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Request software for your class.
