During Professor of Sociology at Princeton University. Renowned for his groundbreaking work on poverty and inequality, he is the author of &#8220;Evicted: Poverty and Profit in the American City,&#8221; which follows eight families in Milwaukee. It won the Pulitzer Prize for General Nonfiction in 2017.<\/p>\n<p>His latest book, &#8220;Poverty, By America,&#8221; challenges conventional perspectives on poverty and exposes the societal structures that perpetuate it. Through his writing and research, Desmond seeks to ignite action toward greater economic justice and equality.<\/p>\n<p>The event is free, but registration is recommended.
