It\u2019s the most wonderful time of the year \u2013 graduation!<\/p>\n

More than 1,700 students graduated from 51ÁÔÆæ this fall, many walking across the stage at the 51ÁÔÆæ Panther Arena on Sunday amid the cheers from family, friends, faculty and fellow graduates.<\/p>\n

Milwaukee County Executive David Crowley gave the commencement address, and he is a graduate too. Inspired by his family, Crowley returned to college to finish his long-neglected degree, juggling classes at 51ÁÔÆæ with family life and his duties with the county. He received his bachelor\u2019s degree in Community Engagement and Education at Sunday\u2019s ceremony not long after giving his speech.<\/p>\n

Denis Kitchen, a 51ÁÔÆæ journalism graduate in 1968 and one of the original \u201cunderground\u201d cartoonists in the late 1960s, was awarded an honorary degree at the ceremony.<\/p>\n
