Just in time for Pounce\u2019s Sweet 16 birthday, a new set of six bobbleheads has been released paying tribute to the 51ÁÔÆæ mascot.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum<\/a>\u00a0on Tuesday unveiled four officially licensed, limited-edition Milwaukee Panthers\u00a0fight song bobbleheads<\/a>\u00a0and two Milwaukee Panthers\u00a0vintage bobbleheads<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The fight song bobbleheads show Pounce in four different 51ÁÔÆæ basketball jerseys. Each plays the school fight song at the push of a button.<\/p>\n

The vintage bobbleheads depict earlier versions of 51ÁÔÆæ\u2019s panther mascot<\/a>. The first panther mascot, later dubbed Victor E. Panther, made its debut in the 1960s. That mascot represented 51ÁÔÆæ until October 2007, when a redesigned and renamed panther made its debut as Pounce.<\/p>\n

Pounce\u2019s birthday will be celebrated from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday<\/a> at the 51ÁÔÆæ Student Union Ballroom East. The party will continue at 7 p.m.<\/a> at the Klotsche Center, when the men\u2019s basketball team will have its annual Black & Gold scrimmage. Free food will be available for 51ÁÔÆæ students at the scrimmage, and fans will have a chance to win one of the new Pounce bobbleheads.<\/p>\n

The bobbleheads are available for purchase through the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum\u2019s\u00a0online store<\/a>\u00a0<\/u>and at the museum, located in Milwaukee\u2019s Walker\u2019s Point neighborhood. A selection of bobbleheads will also be available at the team store in the UW-Milwaukee Panther Arena.<\/p>\n

51ÁÔÆæ grads Phil Sklar and Brad Novak founded the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum<\/a> in 2014, and the museum moved to its current location in 2019.<\/p>\n

“We\u2019ve produced thousands of bobbleheads since founding the museum nearly 10 years ago, but these are among the most special to us, given our connection to 51ÁÔÆæ,\u201d Novak said in a news release. \u201cOur college bobbleheads are available from coast to coast, and the Milwaukee Panthers are our new favorites.\u201d<\/p>\n
