{"id":120476,"date":"2023-04-25T11:09:29","date_gmt":"2023-04-25T16:09:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/uwm.edu\/news\/?p=120476"},"modified":"2023-05-10T16:02:11","modified_gmt":"2023-05-10T21:02:11","slug":"uwm-graduate-programs-ranked-by-u-s-news-world-report","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/uwm.edu\/news\/uwm-graduate-programs-ranked-by-u-s-news-world-report\/","title":{"rendered":"51ÁÔÆæ graduate programs ranked by U.S. News &amp; World Report"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Several <a href=\"https:\/\/www.usnews.com\/best-graduate-schools\/university-of-wisconsin-milwaukee-240453\/overall-rankings\">programs at 51ÁÔÆæ<\/a> appear in the latest rankings of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.usnews.com\/best-graduate-schools\">best graduate programs<\/a> by U.S. News &amp; World Report.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Two 51ÁÔÆæ programs \u2013 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.usnews.com\/best-graduate-schools\/top-library-information-science-programs\/library-information-science-rankings\">library and information studies<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.usnews.com\/best-graduate-schools\/top-health-schools\/occupational-therapy-rankings\">occupational therapy<\/a> \u2013 landed in the top 20 of the 2023-2024 Best Graduate Schools. Several others were in the top 100, including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Part-time MBA<\/li>\n<li>Speech-language pathology<\/li>\n<li>Clinical psychology<\/li>\n<li>Economics<\/li>\n<li>English<\/li>\n<li>Fine arts<\/li>\n<li>History<\/li>\n<li>Physical therapy<\/li>\n<li>Political science<\/li>\n<li>Social work<\/li>\n<li>Sociology<\/li>\n<li>Physics<\/li>\n<li>Nursing<\/li>\n<li>Nursing-doctor of nursing practice<\/li>\n<li>Health care management<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The methodology for compiling the rankings varies by program, but include such factors as degree output, peer and professional assessments, GPA and GRE scores, research activity and faculty credentials.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The rankings are designed to help prospective graduate students evaluate programs in a variety of disciplines.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cWhen prospective students are considering their options for graduate school, the Best Graduate Schools rankings are designed to help them identify schools that excel in the program they want to study,\u201d said LaMont Jones, senior editor of education at U.S. News. \u201cWith many options available, U.S. News provides a wealth of data in an easy format to help each student make the best decision.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Several programs at 51ÁÔÆæ appear in the latest rankings of best graduate programs by U.S. News &amp; World Report.
