More than 1,700 alumni, faculty, staff, students, families and friends made gifts, a 43% increase over last year\u2019s participation. This was the first 414 for 51ÁÔÆæ Giving Day to raise more than $1 million.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-120380 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/uwm.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/41\/2023\/04\/ALUM_414-for-51ÁÔÆæ_2023_Badge300x200.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/>Official results include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>$1,045,974 raised<\/li>\n<li>1,728 total donors<\/li>\n<li>Donors from all 50 states<\/li>\n<li>Over 300 first-time donors<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cThe 51ÁÔÆæ community of supporters is remarkable \u2013 especially our amazing ambassadors whose enthusiasm for 51ÁÔÆæ brought in nearly $35,000 in gifts,\u201d said Amy Lensing Tate, assistant vice chancellor for alumni relations. \u201cOur alumni and friends know that support and advocacy for 51ÁÔÆæ are essential for our state and region. We are blown away and celebrating the 1,728 alumni and friends who made a gift to support their favorite part of 51ÁÔÆæ on our third annual giving day. I am so grateful to all of our donors and ambassadors who contributed to making this day a success.
