\"\"Community of Practice: Introduction to Transparency in Learning and Teaching<\/h1>\n
What is the core purpose of the assignments, tasks, and learning opportunities in our courses? \u00a0Better yet, what do our students<\/i> think is the primary purpose? \u00a0In this workshop we will discuss Transparency in Learning and Teaching (TILT) and how it can inform our teaching. \u00a0We\u2019ll develop a list of best practices and brainstorm how to implement in our courses. \u00a0To get the most out of the session, bring an assignment such as a homework set, an out-of-class task, or a project from a class you\u2019re teaching \u2013 ideally something coming up this semester or early next semester\u2014and bring along a colleague, too! \u00a0We\u2019ll actively workshop together, and you\u2019ll walk away with a new and improved transparent assignment (or at least the tools to build one)!<\/div>\n
