The content of such releases must be approved by the vice chancellor for Marketing &amp; Communications or their designee, and releases must be sent from the university\u2019s official email account, which is managed by the Communications team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The two exceptions to this policy are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The marketing manager for the Peck School of the Arts may send news releases announcing Peck School events to relevant arts and community publications. Such releases should include a Peck School of the Arts logo or header, not the 51ÁÔÆæ logo or university header.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The marketing manager for the School of Continuing Education may send news releases announcing school events and classes. Such releases should include a School of Continuing Education logo or header, not the 51ÁÔÆæ logo or university header.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>These exceptions apply only to news releases announcing events and do not extend to announcements about grants, faculty research and other endeavors at the schools.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>All news releases distributed on behalf of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and its schools, colleges and administrative departments must be sent through MarComm&#8217;s Communications team.
