{"id":17426,"date":"2024-12-09T16:42:51","date_gmt":"2024-12-09T22:42:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/uwm.edu\/lubar-entrepreneurship-center\/?post_type=tribe_events&#038;p=17426"},"modified":"2025-03-26T11:14:54","modified_gmt":"2025-03-26T16:14:54","slug":"wisconsin-big-idea-qualifier-at-the-lec","status":"publish","type":"tribe_events","link":"https:\/\/uwm.edu\/lubar-entrepreneurship-center\/event\/wisconsin-big-idea-qualifier-at-the-lec\/","title":{"rendered":"Wisconsin Big Idea Qualifier: Win up to $1,500"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We are thrilled to announce that the Lubar Entrepreneurship Center (LEC) will not only host our annual <em>UW-Milwaukee Wisconsin Big Idea Qualifier (WBIQ)<\/em>, but this year we will also be hosting the statewide <em>WiSys Big Idea Tournament<\/em>. <strong>Our very own 51ÁÔÆæ student, Mitchelle Lyle, took first-place at both the 51ÁÔÆæ qualifier and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wisys.org\/news-media\/uw-milwaukees-mitchelle-lyle-wins-wisys-statewide-entrepreneurship-competition\">2023 statewide Tournament<\/a> with her innovative venture, <a href=\"https:\/\/internationaltraveladvisor.com\/about-us\/\">International Travel Advisor (ITA)<\/a>.<\/strong> Another UW-Milwaukee student, Kayla Lokker, received the People\u2019s Choice Award and $250 for her business, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.easywearjewelry.com\/\">Easy Wear Jewelry<\/a>, at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wisys.org\/news-media\/wisys-big-idea-tournament-2024\">2024 Big Idea Tournament<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The WiSys Big Idea Tournament is a renowned statewide entrepreneurship competition <strong>open to undergraduate and graduate students from University of Wisconsin schools (excluding UW-Madison)<\/strong>.
