The time needed to fill a request depends on the type of material requested and the location of the lending partner sending the requested materials.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"uwm-l-col uwm-l-col--4 uwm-l-offset--1\">\n<ul class=\"uwm-c-list--contact uwm-c-list--cleanlist\">\n<li><i class=\"fa-solid fa-envelope fa-fw\"><\/i><a href=\"mailto:libill@uwm.edu\">libill@uwm.edu<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><i class=\"fa-solid fa-mobile-screen-button fa-fw\"><\/i><a href=\"tel:414-229-4493\">414-229-4493<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><i class=\"fa-solid fa-globe fa-fw\"><\/i><a href=\"https:\/\/uwm.libanswers.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Ask A Librarian<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\">\n<div class=\"uwm-p-tabs\" data-tabs-prefix-class=\"uwm-p-tabs\"><ul class=\"uwm-p-tablist\" data-hx=\"h2\"><li class=\"uwm-p-tablist--item\"><a href=\"#tab-7gpc-articles-and-copies\" class=\"uwm-p-tablist--link\">Articles and Copies<\/a><\/li><li class=\"uwm-p-tablist--item\"><a href=\"#tab-7gpc-books-and-other-items\" class=\"uwm-p-tablist--link\">Books and Other Items<\/a><\/li><\/ul><div class=\"uwm-p-tabcontent\">\n<div id=\"tab-7gpc-articles-and-copies\" class=\"uwm-p-tabcontent--pane\">\n<p>There are a couple methods for requesting articles in <a href=\"https:\/\/wisconsin.hosts.atlas-sys.com\/nonshib\/gzn\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ILLiad<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Sign into <a href=\"https:\/\/wisconsin.hosts.atlas-sys.com\/nonshib\/gzn\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ILLiad<\/a>, click \u201cNew Requests\u201d in the navigation menu, select \u201cArticle\/Chapter (PDF)\u201d, and manually fill in the required fields and other citation information. Click \u201cSubmit Request\u201d at the bottom when done.\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Note<\/strong>: If you have the DOI for the article, enter it in the DOI box. Using these links will auto-populate the <a href=\"https:\/\/wisconsin.hosts.atlas-sys.com\/nonshib\/gzn\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ILLiad<\/a> form with the citation information. Double check the information before submitting the request because it is not always 100% accurate. Click &#8216;Submit Request&#8217; at the bottom when done.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>For either request method: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list undefined\">\n\n<li><strong>Please submit only one article or chapter per request<\/strong>. If you\u2019d like the ILL staff to know additional information about your request that is not in any field, feel free to type it in the Notes section toward the bottom of your screen.\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>If you found the item in WorldCat, click &#8216;View access option&#8217; button in the &#8220;Access from your libraries&#8221; section. Then click Request It (ILLiad) and sign into ILLiad. The item details should auto-populate the ILLiad form.<br>You can also copy and paste the item details from the WorldCat record or manually enter it from the item&#8217;s citation into the appropriate ILLiad request form. Fill out all the required fields, this will speed up the process.
