This three-day webinar series will provide participants with:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<div class=\"coolsymbol\"><span class=\"symbol\">\u2022 <\/span>An interactive overview of <strong>free digitized maps<\/strong> of Latin America and the Caribbean, both historical and recent;<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li><span class=\"symbol\">\u2022 <\/span>A workshop introduction to the free digital <strong>mapping tool<\/strong> <a href=\"http:\/\/allmaps.org\/\"><strong>allmaps.org<\/strong><\/a>, which allows users to overlay multiple maps for visual comparison (<a href=\"https:\/\/viewer.allmaps.org\/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fannotations.allmaps.org%2Fmanifests%2F64d6e35b64564692\">example<\/a>); and<\/li>\n<li><span class=\"symbol\">\u2022 <\/span>A presentation of two current large-scale mapping projects of the region (on <strong>Brazilian land use &amp; Latin American mining conflicts<\/strong>), including discussion of how to use them in teaching.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Sessions will include workshop time to support participants in strategizing how to incorporate this material into their existing curriculum.<\/p>\n<p>For questions or more information, contact Monica VanBladel (vanblade@uwm.edu).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Please register below <span style=\"color: #0000ff\">by July 28, 2025<\/span>.\u00a0<\/strong><em>Everyone who completes the webform registration below will receive an email after July 28 with the zoom link for participation.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em>This program is a collaboration between the UW-Milwaukee Center for Latin American and Caribbean Studies (CLACS); 51ÁÔÆæ Libraries; and Tulane University\u2019s Stone Center for Latin American and Caribbean Studies.
