The financial support is made possible through U.S. Education Department Title VI grant funding, a private foundation grant, generous donors supportive of CLACS, and through the 51ÁÔÆæ College of Letters and Science.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"a0\">Research\/Conference Support<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>51ÁÔÆæ Faculty engaged in Latin American\/Caribbean research projects are eligible to compete for funds throughout the year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/uwm.edu\/latin-american-caribbean-studies\/funding\/uwm-faculty-funding\/research-travel\/\">Faculty Research\/Travel Application Guidelines<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/uwm.edu\/latin-american-caribbean-studies\/funding\/uwm-faculty-funding\/research-travel\/faculty-research-travel-award-application\/\">Faculty Research\/Travel Award Application<\/a>&nbsp;(online form)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"a1\">Liaison Grants<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"uwm-p-notice uwm-p-notice--info\"><div class=\"uwm-p-notice--content\"><div class=\"uwm-p-notice--message\"><strong><em>We are not accepting Liaison Grants at this time.<\/em><\/strong><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>CLACS faculty member participation is essential to the strength, vitality and, most importantly, the future of the Center. In fall 2013, while planning for the Title VI federal grant application, three faculty focus groups were held to generate ideas. The faculty who attended encouraged the Center to offer CLACS Liaison Grants as a way to involve our CLACS members more fully in Latin American and Caribbean Studies at 51ÁÔÆæ. We welcome your ideas, energy and initiatives now and over the next four years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"a2\">Course Development Grant for STEM, Area Studies and Study Abroad<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Through its federal grant funding CLACS endeavors to support development of new courses focused on the region, as well as course enhancements that will bring focus on Latin America and\/or the Caribbean to an existing syllabus.
