On February 28, the Language Resource Center (LRC) proudly co-hosted the 2026 Virtual Conference of the Midwest Association for Language Learning Technology (MWALLT) in partnership with Indiana University Bloomington and Northwestern University, bringing together language educators, instructional technologists, and scholars from across the region for a dynamic day of online collaboration and professional exchange.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Held in a fully virtual format, this year\u2019s conference provided an accessible platform for participants to explore emerging trends in language teaching and learning. Sessions highlighted innovative uses of artificial intelligence, open educational resources, inclusive pedagogical practices, and strategies for supporting faculty and students through language resource centers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As co-host, the LRC played an active role in conference planning, technical coordination, and session facilitation. The virtual format allowed presenters and attendees to connect across institutions, share practical solutions, and engage in thoughtful discussion about the evolving role of language centers in higher education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
