{"id":7451,"date":"2023-03-08T14:36:42","date_gmt":"2023-03-08T20:36:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/uwm.edu\/webid2-test-lsweb\/?page_id=7451"},"modified":"2024-08-06T11:15:40","modified_gmt":"2024-08-06T16:15:40","slug":"student-organizations","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/uwm.edu\/jewish-studies\/students\/student-organizations\/","title":{"rendered":"Student Organizations And Activities"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"is-style-lead-in\">\r\n 51ÁÔÆæ has more than <a href=\"https:\/\/uwm.edu\/studentinvolvement\/organizations\/\">\r\n 300 student organizations<\/a>. \r\nDon't see one you like, start a new one!<\/p>\r\n<p>Students will find organizations that focus on career development \r\nand networking; social clubs; sports and activity clubs; \r\ncommunity service and volunteer groups; and more. \r\nMembership can lead to leadership within the organization, \r\nadding to your resume before you even graduate.<\/p>\r\n<picture>\n    <source type=\"image\/webp\" src=\"https:\/\/web.uwm.edu\/ls-people\/file\/media\/student-organizations.webp?ver=\" \/>\n    <source src=\"https:\/\/web.uwm.edu\/ls-people\/file\/mediastudent-organizations.jpg?ver=\" \/>\n    <img decoding=\"async\" \n        \n        src=\"https:\/\/web.uwm.edu\/ls-people\/file\/media\/student-organizations.jpg?ver=\"\n        alt=\"group of students at an event\"\n        \n         \n        loading=\"lazy\"\n    \/>\n<\/picture>\n\n\n\n\n<p>There are a wide range of organizations and activities of Jewish interest at 51ÁÔÆæ and in the community, including:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Hillel Milwaukee<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Hillel Milwaukee strives to create a dynamic, warm and celebratory Jewish environment for Milwaukee\u2019s university students and young adults (ages 18-26) where they can explore and express their Jewish identities and gain a sense of belonging within the Jewish community. Hillel is not a 51ÁÔÆæ organization and serves not just 51ÁÔÆæ but also all other nearby college campuses and their students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The organization offers holiday and cultural programs, Shabbat dinners, leadership opportunities, social action projects, Israel programs, outdoor activities, and social gatherings. Jewish young adults from all backgrounds all welcome as are all local students who have a sincere desire to learn more about Judaism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Chabad<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Lubavitch of Wisconsin is dedicated to serving all Jews throughout Wisconsin with programs that provide the education to promote Jewish learning and awareness.
