For more information, please visit our <a href=\"https:\/\/uwm.edu\/institutional-research\/secure\/facstaff\/explorance-blue\/\">&#8220;Course Evaluations with Explorance Blue&#8221; resource page<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<span class=\"collapseomatic \" id=\"id69e2b3e4e462e\"  tabindex=\"0\" title=\"Exam Services\"    >Exam Services<\/span><div id=\"target-id69e2b3e4e462e\" class=\"collapseomatic_content \">\n<p><strong>Note: Spring 2026 is the last semester in which OAIR&#8217;s exam services will be provided. To help our colleagues and units who have regularly used these services identify other solutions, CASL has helpfully prepared <a href=\"https:\/\/kb.uwm.edu\/cetl\/155283\">this web page<\/a> with recommended alternatives to Scantron testing.<br \/>\n<\/strong><br \/>\nThe Testing &amp; Course Evaluations section of OAIR provides machine-scanning services for classroom exams. Standard scannable forms can accommodate up to 200 questions with 5 possible answer choices. Standard pdf reports include test statistics. Exam data is also available in an Excel file format. An email link for exam scoring results will be sent, and results are posted via SharePoint.<\/p>\n<p>Please contact us at <strong><b><a href=\"mailto:oair-testing@uwm.edu\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">oair-testing@uwm.edu<\/a><\/b><\/strong> with any questions.<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_xmsonormal\"><span class=\"collapseomatic \" id=\"id69e2b3e4e4692\"  tabindex=\"0\" title=\"Requesting Exam Processing Service\"    >Requesting Exam Processing Service<\/span><div id=\"target-id69e2b3e4e4692\" class=\"collapseomatic_content \">\n<p class=\"x_xmsonormal\"><strong>Please make sure that exam requests are submitted well in advance.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!-- XXXXX https:\/\/idp.uwm.edu\/idp\/profile\/saml2\/redirect\/sso?execution=e1s1\" href=\"https:\/\/web.uwm.edu\/exam-processing\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\" --><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The <a title=\"https:\/\/idp.uwm.edu\/idp\/profile\/saml2\/redirect\/sso?execution=e1s1\" href=\"https:\/\/forms.office.com\/r\/9rN5M0gUdw\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Request Form<\/a> must be completed at least three calendar weeks prior to the exam. Exams dropped off before a request has been submitted will experience significant processing delays.<\/li>\n<li>When dropping off exams, include your confirmation email, with the requested exam information for proper processing.<\/li>\n<li>Exams should be dropped off in NWQB 5585 to Lisa Fugina Russell (Testing and Course Evaluation Administrator) on Tuesdays &amp; Thursdays between 9:30am-4:30pm, or can be deposited into the mail slot in the door at any time.<\/li>\n<li>Given resource constraints and the need to provide timely feedback to students, it is strongly encouraged that instructors use other testing formats. Canvas functionality can be used for instructor-managed testing, with much more immediate response and processing. <a href=\"https:\/\/uwm.edu\/cetl\/resources\/technology-resources\/\">Please check with CASL<\/a> for other online or electronic options.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<span class=\"collapseomatic \" id=\"id69e2b3e4e46d9\"  tabindex=\"0\" title=\" Exam Format\"    > Exam Format<\/span><div id=\"target-id69e2b3e4e46d9\" class=\"collapseomatic_content \">\n<p>To process exams, all submissions must be prepared according to the instructions listed below. Instructors submitting exams that do not meet these criteria will be asked to correct any issues and then re-submit the exams for scoring.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Exams must be submitted in an envelope that has the instructor\u2019s name, course subject and section number(s) written on it.<\/li>\n<li>Exams must have an answer key sheet. Have \u201ckey\u201d and the professor\u2019s name in the Name Field. This sheet needs to have the correct answers filled in. Darken in the circles for each correct answer using a #2 pencil.<\/li>\n<li>Answer sheets must have the student\u2019s name and answers filled out in pencil.<\/li>\n<li>Answer sheets must be filled out with a #2 pencil to be read by the scanner.<\/li>\n<li>Answer sheets should have no writing along the left-hand edge or the bottom of the sheet. These areas of the sheet contain marks that are essential for scanning.<\/li>\n<li>Answer sheets must face the same direction.<\/li>\n<li>Answer sheets should be flat and dry.<\/li>\n<li>Answer sheets that are creased, wrinkled, or torn may not be scannable.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Multiple Sections:<\/strong>\u202fIf you have a multiple section test, where you have more than one key and one version of the test, please keep the sections separate. When you complete the request form, indicate the number of sections. Each section will produce separate reports.<\/p>\n<p>If your drop-off date is a Tuesday or Thursday, exams can be given directly to Lisa Fugina Russell (Testing and Course Evaluation Administrator) in NWQB 5585 between 9:30am-4:30pm. Alternatively, exams can be deposited into the mail slot in the door of NWQB 5585 at any time.<\/p>\n<p>We will inform you when we are finished scoring the exams and generating the reports. Exams submitted on Thursdays, Fridays, and Mondays will be processed and ready for pickup by Tuesday afternoon. You will receive an email with a link to your department folder.<br \/>\n<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Please complete <a href=\"https:\/\/uwm.edu\/institutional-research\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/268\/2024\/10\/Scantron_Order_Form_AA.pdf\">this form<\/a> to order more answer sheets for future exams.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Return of answer\/scantron sheets.<\/strong> An authorized representative may pick up the answer sheets from NWQB 5585 between 1pm and 4pm on a Tuesday or Thursday after the exam is submitted for scoring.<\/p>\n<p>A valid photo ID is required. Answer sheets may also be sent through intercampus mail (without the answer key).
