CHECK YOUR EMAIL &#8211; Participants will receive an email within a few minutes from &#8220;<em>School of Information Studies<\/em>&#8221; with instructions, the course link, and a join code.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>SET-UP CANVAS ACCOUNT: Set-up a <strong>student account<\/strong> in the University of Wisconsin System (UWS) Learning Management System (Canvas): <br><a href=\"https:\/\/uws-ce.instructure.com\/register\">https:\/\/uws-ce.instructure.com\/register<\/a> with Join code: 773RCE <strong>(Chrome is the preferred browser for CANVAS)<\/strong><br><em>Note: Due to Canvas limitations <strong>all users (including teachers) will access the site with a student account<\/strong>. However, we can work with you to verify student completion.<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>TO EARN BADGES: Students must add an active email address to their account to start earning badges<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>STUDENT SCHOLARSHIPS: Once a student has completed 6 modules, they may submit the <a href=\"https:\/\/uwm.edu\/informationstudies\/students\/career-resources\/career-discovery\/career-discovery-scholarship-verification\/\">Career Discovery Scholarship Verification Form<\/a> to become eligible for a scholarship. An academic advisor from the School of Information Studies will reach out to the student with more details at that time.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-what-students-will-learn\">What Students Will Learn<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>IT SKILLS \u2022 CAREER OPTIONS \u2022 DEGREE OFFERINGS<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The purpose of this online tool is to help students associate emerging topics in IT to specific career opportunities available in the field.
