The Student Association (SA) is the student government of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. The SA is run by students and for students with a mission of ensuring that student\u2019s rights are upheld, promoting a high quality of education that is accessible to all, and enriching the student experience at 51ÁÔÆæ, through representation, advocacy, and funding of services and activities that improve student life. School of Information Studies Program Representative<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Program Reps is a new initiative by the Student Association to ensure every student at 51ÁÔÆæ has a voice in their student government. The SOIS Program Rep is elected by classmates in their academic program to represent their majors for the academic year. If you have a concern or issue that needs to be addressed within your course, your Program Rep can help.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We\u2019re seeking people from EVERY major to be the eyes and ears for change \u2013 to listen up and speak out about the specific needs or students in your discipline. If you\u2019ve got limited time to commit, but want to make a positive impact on your campus, this is the perfect opportunity for you! This is a great way to build leadership experience and connections on campus, enhance your resume, and give back to the 51ÁÔÆæ community. Responsibilities include serving as the first point person for student suggestions and concerns, attendance at a working luncheon with your assigned academic senator once a semester, and biweekly email check-ins. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
