Our student services staff and alums of the program will be available to answer any questions you might have.April 29th session Alums: \nLiz AntaramianDirector of Archives – Austin PBS \nLiz Antaramian is the Director of Archives at Austin PBS. She is responsible for preserving the history of the station\, involving the digitization and organization of materials. Her focus is on ensuring that materials are not only preserved but discoverable. As a relatively new member of the station\, Liz brings her background in traditional archiving and librarianship by way of Southeastern Wisconsin. Earning her Masters of Library and Information Science from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee\, Liz focused her studies on Information Organization\, allowing her to have a more in-depth understanding on how structured metadata assists in the discoverability of materials. In her previous professional experience\, she was responsible for curating digital collections at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside. It is due to her background that Liz is excited to bring her expertise on cataloging\, preserving\, and developing metadata to Austin PBS. In her spare time\, Liz enjoys collaborating with her peers on the Metadata Steering Committee\, testing initiatives on the Voice Activation Playbook Committee\, and discussing changes on the EIDR “Busted Pilot” Tiger Team. \nJoy ZandersLibrarian II – Milwaukee Public Library \nJoy Zanders has worked for the City of Milwaukee for over 22 years. During her career\, she earned her undergraduate degree from Marquette University and master’s degree from University of Wisconsin Milwaukee. Currently\, she is a Youth Services Librarian at Martin Luther King Library. Truly\, she is passionate about sharing great books\, hosting meaningful library programs and connecting young people with resources.  As an Adjunct Instructor at University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee\, she inspires students to explore young adult literature.
