The 51ÁÔÆæ Graduate School offers these fellowships to support select graduate students. Questions about these and for information about the application process should be directed to the Graduate School. Deadlines are often as early as December 1 prior to the fall in which a student intends to start their program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Distinguished Graduate Student Fellowships<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Graduate School fellowships are awarded annually to exceptional new or continuing 51ÁÔÆæ graduate students across all fields of study. Awards are for full-time study only and include a stipend (most recently $15,500), tuition remission, and eligibility for health insurance. This one-year award is not renewable. Partial fellowships are sometimes available and come with just a stipend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Distinguished Dissertation Fellowships<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Applicants must reach dissertator status by September 1 of the award year. Awards are for full-time study only and include a stipend (most recently $15,500), tuition remission, and eligibility for health insurance. This one-year award is not renewable. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

AOP Fellowships<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Funded by the State of Wisconsin, the Advanced Opportunity Program (AOP) Fellowships are awarded to members of underrepresented racial\/ethnic minority groups or disadvantaged non-minority students enrolled in a graduate program. All awards are for full-time study, and applicants must be American citizens or permanent residents of the United States. The fellowship includes a stipend (most recently $16,000 for master’s students or $18,000 for doctoral students), tuition remission, and eligibility for health insurance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

AOP Fellowships are renewable for up to two years total for master’s students or three years total for doctoral students. Renewal is contingent on meeting course and program requirements and level of academic progress toward degree as determined by each fellow\u2019s advisor. <\/p>\n\n\n
