Campus Ergonomic Services can provide ergonomic assessments, office ergonomics training, back care training and early return to work services.<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"uwm-p-card uwm-u-mb-40 uwm-p-card--shadow uwm-p-card--gold\"><div class=\"uwm-p-card--body\"><div class=\"uwm-p-card--title\"><a href=\"https:\/\/uwm.edu\/rehabilitation-sciences-technology\/community\/speech-language-clinic\/\">Speech Language Clinic<\/a><\/div><div class=\"uwm-p-card--content\">The Speech and Language Clinic serves the university and surrounding community by providing clinical services as part of the professional preparation of students in the Communication Sciences and Disorders programs. The clinic provides evaluation and treatment services to children and adults who have a variety of communication disorders.<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"uwm-p-card uwm-u-mb-40 uwm-p-card--shadow uwm-p-card--gold\"><div class=\"uwm-p-card--body\"><div class=\"uwm-p-card--title\"><a href=\"https:\/\/uwm.edu\/nursing\/community\/nursing-centers\/\">51ÁÔÆæ Health and Wellness Center &#8211; House of Peace<\/a><\/div><div class=\"uwm-p-card--content\">Staff at the center, located within the Capuchin Community Service House of Peace site in the Walnut Way neighborhood, develop strong and lasting relationships with clients and are active advocates for their health and well-being.<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"uwm-p-card uwm-u-mb-40 uwm-p-card--shadow uwm-p-card--gold\"><div class=\"uwm-p-card--body\"><div class=\"uwm-p-card--title\"><a href=\"https:\/\/uwm.edu\/nursing\/community\/nursing-centers\/\">51ÁÔÆæ Community Health and Wellness Center &#8211; Silver Spring Neighborhood Center<\/a><\/div><div class=\"uwm-p-card--content\">Staff at the center, located within the heart of Westlawn, Wisconsin\u2019s largest subsidized housing development and within the walls of Silver Spring Neighborhood Center, maintain strong partnerships and advocate for community health and well-being.<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/section>\n\n\n\n<section class=\"uwm-bg-white uwm-u-py-80\"><div class=\"uwm-l-container--base uwm-l-container--overflow-hidden\">\n<div class=\"uwm-l-row uwm-l-row--4 uwm-l-row--3\">\n<div class=\"uwm-l-col\">\n<figure class=\"uwm-c-img--caption-gray\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"750\" height=\"500\" src=\"https:\/\/uwm.edu\/health-professions-sciences\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/629\/2023\/02\/comm.EMT750x500-1-1.jpg\" alt=\"The Milwaukee Fire Department partners with several faculty and staff in the College of Health Professions and Sciences. Its projects focus on universal design, measurement and outcomes and assistive technology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Many College of Health Sciences faculty are research partners of the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/ctsi.mcw.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Clinical and Translational Science Institute<\/a><\/strong>. Backed by $20 million from the National Institutes of Health, this consortium of eight Milwaukee institutions, including 51ÁÔÆæ, shares resources to accelerate the translation of research discoveries into new medical treatments.
