DESCRIPTION:From public health to marketing\, from climate science to logistics\, GIS is becoming a core competency for professionals in a wide range of fields. GIS Day at 51���� offers a jobs panel with 51���� alum GIS professionals in conservation\, land management\, policing and more. \nThe jobs panel is at 11 a.m. in the AGS Library\, with lunch and networking afterward. Morning and afternoon workshops feature introductions to GIS (QGIS or Python)\, Allmaps and humanitarian mapping\, as well as a tour of the AGS Library. \nFind the full schedule at this webpage. The theme of this conference will be about the “dichotomies” that shape our world\, including hope and despair\, self and anxiety\, and human and monster — inviting reflection on the tensions that define experience\, culture and society.  \nJoin us in Honors House\, Room 196\, on Friday\, Nov. 21\, from 11 a.m.-2:30 p.m. to experience a fantastic selection of undergraduate work. Whether you’re passionate about research or the arts\, there’s something for everyone!   \nLunch and light refreshments will be provided from 10:15-11 a.m.\, with snacks available throughout the conference.
