Join the 51ÁÔÆæ Department of African and African Diaspora Studies when the AADS Seminar Series hosts Derrick Harriell, PhD, on Feb. 27, from 1-2 pm in Mitchell Hall, Room 206. 51ÁÔÆæ through and through: Derrick Harriell traces his professional experience as a 51ÁÔÆæ alum and now a 51ÁÔÆæ professor.
The conversation will cover the creative projects that ultimately led him back home, including his most recent project, co-authored with the rapper 2 Chainz. Harriell is from Milwaukee and is the author of four collections of poetry, including “Ropes,” winner of the Mississippi Arts and Letters Poetry Book of the Year award.
