Other important dates and deadlines can be found by using the <a href=\"https:\/\/uwm.edu\/onestop\/dates-and-deadlines\/\" target=\"_blank\">One Stop calendars<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h3>Admission<\/h3> <p>An applicant must meet\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/uwm.edu\/graduateschool\/admission\/\" target=\"_blank\">Graduate School requirements<\/a>\u00a0plus these departmental requirements to be considered for admission to the program:<\/p> <ol> \t<li>Undergraduate major in English or related field, with appropriate background for proposed concentration of study: Plan A, broad background in English and American literature;
