  {"id":25332,"date":"2025-08-25T14:55:27","date_gmt":"2025-08-25T19:55:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/uwm.edu\/engineering\/?p=25332"},"modified":"2025-10-22T15:54:37","modified_gmt":"2025-10-22T20:54:37","slug":"college-scores-half-of-new-catalyst-grants-from-the-uwm-research-foundation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/uwm.edu\/engineering\/college-scores-half-of-new-catalyst-grants-from-the-uwm-research-foundation\/","title":{"rendered":"College scores half of new Catalyst Grants from the 51ÁÔÆæ Research Foundation"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Four researchers in the college recently have been awarded funding from the 51ÁÔÆæ Research Foundation to further projects that aim to better facilitate renewable energy sources, find circulating cancer cells, and provide robotic physical therapy to patients confined to a bed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Catalyst Grants are supported by the Lynde and Harry Bradley Foundation and Invenergy through the 51ÁÔÆæ Research Foundation and are designed to support research in areas where 51ÁÔÆæ has the greatest potential to impact the regional economy through commercialization.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Each team is using the funding to advance early-stage solutions that address urgent societal needs and position their innovations for real-world deployment.
