Faculty in the college have received new funding from the Water Equipment and Policy Center (WEP)<\/a> for 2025. The center awarded a total of $333,000 to five 51ÁÔÆæ research projects, in addition to three projects from Marquette University.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

WEP is a university-industry research collaboration, developing industry solutions through research at both 51ÁÔÆæ and Marquette. Backed by the National Science Foundation, WEP focuses on creating new sensors and devices, novel materials, and innovative systems to help the world manage its stressed water resources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    and $50,000
    “Greatly improved PFAS treatment by using a carbon-dot filter”<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Nathan Salowitz<\/strong>, $94,774
    \u201cEmbedded Ultrasonic Inspection of Water-Filled Equipment (Year 3)”<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Yin Wang<\/strong>, $50,000
    \u201cDevelopment of dual-media filters to remove the challenging nano-particulate lead from drinking water.\u201d Wang\u2019s team includes Xiaoli Ma<\/strong>, associate professor, materials science & engineering, and Shangping Xu, 51ÁÔÆæ associate professor, geosciences.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
