By coordinating vehicle speeds and acceleration patterns\, especially near signalized corridors\, there is enhanced environmental sustainability and improved traffic flow efficiency\, contributing to smarter\, greener transportation systems. \nDr. Liang is a postdoctoral research associate in the TOPS (Traffic Operations and Safety) Laboratory at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He earned his PhD in civil & environmental engineering from the same institution. His research advances connected and automated vehicle technologies\, focusing on eco-driving strategies\, resilient control\, and real-world field testing. He has extensive experience in developing and deploying RSU-OBU communication systems to enable cooperative vehicle infrastructure integration at signalized intersections. Beyond academia\, Liang is an entrepreneur pursuing innovations at the intersection of mobility\, automation\, and automotive services.
