We work closely with Indian Community School of Milwaukee, Inc., and other tribal entities in the greater Milwaukee area. Follow any of the links below to get more information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-ojibwe-net\">Ojibwe.net<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Language information and lessons can be on the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ojibwe.net\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Ojibwe.net<\/a> site and on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/ojibwe.net\/\">Objibwe.net Facebook page<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-ojibwe-language-table\">Ojibwe Language Table<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Join the Endazhi-Anishinaabemotaadiwag study group and learn about the Anishinaabemowin language. Ojibwe, Odawa, and Potawatomi dialects are addressed in this informal class led by Anishinaabemowin language instructors from UW-Milwaukee and the Indian Community School. All ages are welcome, children under 12 should be accompanied by an adult.<br>Please&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/uwm.edu\/electa-quinney\/about\/contact\/\">contact us<\/a>&nbsp;with any questions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-wuwm-radio-news-story\">W51ÁÔÆæ Radio News Story<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.wuwm.com\/post\/ojibwe-language-classes-hope-help-revitalize-native-languages-wisconsin#stream\/0\">Ojibwe Language Classes Hope To Help Revitalize Native Languages In Wisconsin<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-indigenousmke\">IndigenousMKE<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>During the 2017 Mooshkine camp, a group of Milwaukee area Native youth worked with&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.matimm.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Michael Timm<\/a>&nbsp;and created an app story game: Indigenous MKE. This game focuses on beliefs that can help someone live a good life. Gikendan ezhi-mino-doodang. Know how to be doing good actions. The Ojibwe words used here are sometimes called the teachings of the Seven Grandfathers.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Download &amp; install TaleBlazer app. (available in\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/play.google.com\/store\/apps\/details?id=com.step.taleblazer&amp;hl=en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Google Play<\/a>\u00a0Store for Andriod)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Next, find Electa Quinney Institute in TaleBlazer. Select Featured Games from the upper-right menu. Curated primarily by the Electa Quinney Institute for American Indian Education affiliated with the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Included in the collection are lessons regarding vocabulary and grammar, as well as nursery rhymes, songs for children, recorded conversations between experts and native speakers, and an Anishinaabemowin talk show.
