We&#8217;re the state\u2019s premier school for the research and practice of urban education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"size-p-lg\">Our mission is to prepare you to meet the social and economic challenges facing today\u2019s urban, suburban and rural schools. We combine theory with practice, and students receive extensive hands-on experience before they graduate. In fact, 51ÁÔÆæ was first established as the Milwaukee State Normal School specifically to train teachers in the area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"size-p-lg\">Today, you&#8217;ll find School of Education alumni working across all areas of education.
