Visit the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/uwm.edu\/graduateschool\/students\/financial-support\/\">Graduate School Financial Support<\/a>&nbsp;webpage to receive more information about\u202ftypes of funding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Admitted doctoral students typically receive 1-2 years of funding in the form of Teaching Assistantships. Other forms of graduate assistantships may be available to doctoral and master\u2019s students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Students may also apply to 51ÁÔÆæ scholarships, including those offered by the School of Education. Scholarship applications are submitted through the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/uwm.academicworks.com\/\">51ÁÔÆæ Scholarship Portal<\/a>. The&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/uwm.edu\/education\/students\/scholarships\/\">School of Education scholarship application<\/a>&nbsp;is available November through January annually.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"uwm-p-accordion--header\"><strong>Are Master\u2019s students eligible for graduate assistantships?<\/strong><\/div><div class=\"uwm-p-accordion--panel\"><div class=\"uwm-p-accordion--panel-inner uwm-u-clear\">\n<p>Typically MS students are not eligible for teaching assistantships due to university qualifications required for these positions. MS students may be eligible for other GA appointments on campus. Check the campus jobs site (information at the <a href=\"https:\/\/uwm.edu\/set\/\">Center for Student Experience and Talent<\/a>) or our social media for such postings.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"uwm-p-accordion--header\"><strong>How do I apply for funding?<\/strong><\/div><div class=\"uwm-p-accordion--panel\"><div class=\"uwm-p-accordion--panel-inner uwm-u-clear\">\n<p>Eligible students can apply for funding for the Advanced Opportunity Program (AOP) or the other&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/uwm.edu\/graduateschool\/types-of-funding\/fellowships\/\">Graduate School Fellowships<\/a>.&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/uwm.edu\/graduateschool\/students\/financial-support\/fellowships\/\">Guidelines for the Advanced Opportunity Program (AOP) application process<\/a>&nbsp;are found on the Graduate School\u2019s website. Applications are due by the first Friday in January each year, so that the Ed Psych department can review and rank applicants. Each department is permitted to forward two applicants for consideration to the University-wide competition. We strongly encourage eligible students to apply, even if they are unsure of their admission status.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>An annual call for Ed Psych GA positions will be sent out by email to all current and incoming students (those who have accepted admission) in early Spring. Interested candidates will complete an online application.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"uwm-p-accordion--header\"><strong>What are funding options for international students?<\/strong><\/div><div class=\"uwm-p-accordion--panel\"><div class=\"uwm-p-accordion--panel-inner uwm-u-clear\">\n<p>The&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/uwm.edu\/cie\/international-admissions\/cost-scholarships\/\">Center for International Education<\/a>&nbsp;provides some information about costs and aid for international students. International students are eligible for GA appointments based on the same criteria as all other applicants.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"uwm-p-accordion--header\"><strong>How much does it cost to attend 51ÁÔÆæ?<\/strong><\/div><div class=\"uwm-p-accordion--panel\"><div class=\"uwm-p-accordion--panel-inner uwm-u-clear\">\n<p>Visit the&nbsp;<a
