John Bitzan (PhD 1997) has recently been appointed the Director of the Shelia and Robert Challey Institute for Global Innovation and Growth at North Dakota State University.\u00a0 He and the institute have been exploring the connection between people\u2019s beliefs about the meaningfulness of their lives and their views about capitalism and entrepreneurship.\u00a0 John and a coauthor wrote a piece about their study in the Wall Street Journal<\/a> and a longer description of their work for the Mercatus Center<\/a>.<\/p>\n
