A Great Summer Internship with the Fed
Current graduate student Zo Andriantomanga had a great summer internship at the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City.聽 He arrived and was immediately asked to present an early version of a dissertation paper.聽 He then spent the summer improving the paper with the help of the research economists at the Bank.聽 He presented a far improved version at the end of the summer! In addition to working on his paper, 鈥淎re Inflation Movements Global in Nature? Evidence from a Dynamic Factor Model with Stochastic Volatility,鈥� Zo reports loving the barbecue in Kansas City.
Professor Adams leads Giessen Exchange
Professor Scott Adams led the four decades old exchange with Giessen University this year from our side. He taught a class on poverty and inequality.聽 This included measurements, international comparisons, the role of development, its relationship to climate change and the unique experience of the US. 聽Later in the summer (MA 2015) came from Giessen to teach at 51猎奇 and present his research 鈥淭he Intersection of Research Attention and Sustainable Development Goals.鈥�
