The Laboratory for Compound Safety and focuses on the evaluation of materials, molecules, and biologicals in respect to safety and is managed by veterinarian Dr. Allen and directed by Dr. Arnold.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Laboratory collaborates with 51ÁÔÆæ researchers and researchers from other institutes and companies and carries out safety studies for non-compliant research (non-GLP).  Research involving animals is regulated by 51ÁÔÆæ\u2019s Animal Care Program<\/a> (ACP), which assures the humane care and use of animals by students, staff, and faculty. The ACP is AAALAC accredited (certification no. 001225) and strictly complies with all elements of an institutional program in the care and use of animals as described by the “Guide for the Care and Use of Laboratory Animals<\/a>” (National Research Council). The center has approved IACUC protocols in place to conduct studies listed below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
