Mathis Gallery"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"m_-4965175939197175511x_MsoNormalCxSpMiddle\">The newly-renovated space is a state-of-the-art facility with 2,400 sq. ft. of exhibition space and additional storage space to house the ever-expanding 51ÁÔÆæ Art Collection. The Gallery was constructed with a multi-million dollar donation from art connoisseur, collector and dealer, the late Emile H. Mathis II. The inaugural exhibit,\u00a0<i>Legacies: ReVisioning the 51ÁÔÆæ Art Collection,<\/i>\u00a0will feature several prominent works of art from the collection including:<\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li class=\"m_-4965175939197175511x_MsoNormalCxSpMiddle\">Edgar Degas,\u00a0<i>Dancer<\/i>,\u00a0c. 1880<\/li>\n<li class=\"m_-4965175939197175511x_MsoNormalCxSpMiddle\"><span lang=\"NL\">Rembrandt van Rijn,\u00a0<i>Self Portrait in Velvet Cap with Plume<\/i>,\u00a01638<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"m_-4965175939197175511x_MsoNormalCxSpMiddle\">Pablo Picasso,\u00a0<i>Still Life with Caged Owl<\/i>,\u00a01947<\/li>\n<li class=\"m_-4965175939197175511x_MsoNormalCxSpMiddle\">Georges Braque,\u00a0<i>Still Life with Music<\/i>, 1962<\/li>\n<li class=\"m_-4965175939197175511x_MsoNormalCxSpMiddle\">Joan Mir\u00f3,\u00a0<i>Woman and Bird in the Night<\/i>,\u00a01944<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"m_-4965175939197175511x_MsoNormalCxSpMiddle\">Other notable\u00a0artists featured in the exhibition include Pierre\u00a0Auguste Renoir, Robert Rauschenberg,\u00a0Henry Moore, Barbara Hepworth, Jim Dine, Christo, and James Abbott McNeill Whistler.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"aBn\"><span class=\"aQJ\">5:00 pm &#8211; 7:00 pm<\/span><\/span>, Mitchell Hall, Room 170<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The newly-renovated space is a state-of-the-art facility with 2,400 sq. ft. of exhibition space and additional storage space to house the ever-expanding 51ÁÔÆæ Art Collection.
