After weeks of working virtually, we have new expectations for work\/life blend, organizations have new digital capabilities, and many of us have a new comfort level with working remotely. In the business world, there is a big debate about what will change. Hear from our speakers their take on what the new normal will require as well as the ways in which they hope some of our current reality is not changed once we can get back to work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Shea Kammer is a veteran line producer with experience on over thirty feature film and television projects, most recently the Oscar-nominated feature, Harriet<\/em>, and the upcoming limited Showtime series, The Good Lord Bird<\/em>, an adaptation of the acclaimed novel by James McBride. Over the past two decades he has worked with many esteemed directors, including Kasi Lemmons, David O. Russell, Kevin Smith, Lorene Scafaria, Seth Macfarlane, Sebasti\u00e1n Lelio, and Drake Doremus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Post-COVID College: What Will Be Novel?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This workshop will explore upcoming changes in the physical college classroom, the contrast between emergency virtual course delivery and intentionally designed online learning, and how many colleges are designing and personalizing course experiences while making learning more engaging and rigorous. The university of today likely is not your father\u2019s\u2014or your\u2014college experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

DH Lab Teaching Fellow and Linked Teaching Teams Award <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The DH Lab Teaching Fellows Award provides an incentive for faculty, instructors, and teaching assistants to share innovative assignments that integrate digital humanities tools and methods. These assignments reflect specific goals related to engaging digital\/multi-modal forms of expression, and certainly may be incorporated into either an in-person or an online class. Applicants can apply as individuals or in teams of two (Linked Teaching Teams). Each fellow will be awarded a $500 incentive. Deadline is June 5.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

DIGITAL ARCHIVE PROJECT<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Covid-19 MKE<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The project aims to document how the Milwaukee area is experiencing the COVID-19 pandemic of 2020. It was built by students in Professor Christopher D. Cantwell’s<\/a> “Local History Research Methods” class and is hosted by the Golda Meir Library<\/a> at 51ÁÔÆæ. All of the material on the site, however, was contributed by members of the greater Milwaukee community. Your contribution is welcome.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
