The Dean of Students Office provides services designed to enhance students\u2019 academic and personal success. Students come to the Dean of Students Office to seek help resolving problems on campus and to seek support in times of crisis. Additionally, we guide students to build a responsible and respectful community. We promote students\u2019 rights and responsibilities by addressing conduct on campus and in the surrounding communities. If you need someone to listen, help, or lend a hand, the Dean of Students Office is your first stop.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Mission<\/div>
The Dean of Students Office supports holistic student well-being and success while providing intentional and practical responses to matters that impact 51ÁÔÆæ students and community. We accomplish this through educational programming, collaborative partnerships and a commitment to inclusion and equity.<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n
Values<\/div>
Community: We support a community that develops relationships through empathy, compassion and respect.

Learning: We believe that we are all on a journey to seek knowledge and cultivate education through experiences while promoting the diversity of ideas.

Responsibility: We foster an environment where we are all accountable for our actions and recognize the impact we have on ourselves and the community.

Equity: We promote an environment that advocates for the opportunity for students of all identities and backgrounds to succeed<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/section>\n\n\n\n

Strategic Priorities<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Dean of Students Office serves as experts for the 51ÁÔÆæ community in navigating complex student matters. DOSO engages all members of the 51ÁÔÆæ community to enhance 51ÁÔÆæ\u2019s capacity to support students.\u202f\u202f<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 51ÁÔÆæ Dean of Students engages in an on-going strategic thinking process. Strategic themes guide priorities within the Dean of Students Office. Each semester, action items are reviewed for alignment. Biannually, the strategic themes are reviewed and updated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Strengthen connections with students to foster learning and development, understand their needs and concerns, advocate for their success and wellbeing, and help 51ÁÔÆæ and the community be a safe and inclusive environment.<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Enhance intentional relationship within 51ÁÔÆæ and the community to support student success and wellbeing.<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n
