Following laws, policies, and doing the right thing makes 51ÁÔÆæ a place where students succeed and people want to work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Being compliant and ethical is simply how we do things here. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Please take time to learn the compliance and ethical rules that apply to you as well as how to report issues. As a first step, ask your supervisor what compliance and ethics rules apply to you. If your role involves performing a compliance function on behalf of 51ÁÔÆæ, be sure to familiarize yourself with your compliance obligations as well as 51ÁÔÆæ&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/uwm.edu\/compliance\/about\/\">Compliance Committee Structure<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here a few key items to help you get started:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>51ÁÔÆæ&#8217;s Code of Conduct:<\/strong> The <a href=\"https:\/\/uwm.edu\/policy\/library\/faculty-staff-code-of-conduct\/\">Code of Conduct<\/a> outlines the principles and standards that guide our work. Familiarize yourself with the Code, as it reflects 51ÁÔÆæ&#8217;s core values and ethics expectations.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Available Training:<\/strong> 51ÁÔÆæ provides <a href=\"https:\/\/uwm.edu\/hr\/compliance-training\/\">comprehensive mandatory training<\/a> to help you understand your responsibilities and the resources available to support you. Please complete required mandatory trainings within the timeframe communicated to you by Human Resources and\/or your supervisor. <a href=\"https:\/\/uwm.edu\/compliance\/compliance-resources-and-training\/\">On-demand trainings <\/a>are also available. <a href=\"https:\/\/uwm.edu\/compliance\/news\/\">Upcoming trainings and events are found here<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Compliance and Ethics Resources:<\/strong> The Office of Compliance &amp; Ethics website offers a variety of resources to assist you with navigating <a href=\"https:\/\/uwm.edu\/compliance\/ethics\/\">ethical<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/uwm.edu\/compliance\/compliance-resources-and-training\/\">compliance-related topics<\/a>. Universities of Wisconsin <a href=\"https:\/\/mediaspace.wisconsin.edu\/media\/Ethics+and+Integrity+12-18-24\/1_njn9ba10?_gl=1*8tsltx*_gcl_au*MTc0Mjc0OTY5NS4xNzMxMzQyNDY0\">offers on-demand training on Ethics and Integrity<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Reporting Concerns:<\/strong> 51ÁÔÆæ encourages openness and accountability.
