Matthew Desmond is a Pulitzer Prize-winning sociologist and Maurice P. During Professor of Sociology at Princeton University. Renowned for his groundbreaking work on poverty and inequality, he is the author of Evicted: Poverty and Profit in the American City, which won the Pulitzer Prize for General Nonfiction in 2017. His latest book, Poverty, By America, challenges conventional perspectives on poverty and exposes the societal structures that perpetuate it. Through his writing and research, Desmond seeks to ignite action toward greater economic justice and equality.<\/p>\n
