If you park in one of these spaces, you must have a Children\u2019s Learning Center parking hang tag hanging from your rearview mirror (visible to parking checkers) and you must push the button located on the front of the parking meter. This will give you 20 minutes maximum to drop off and\/or pick up your child(ren). If a full 20 minutes is not necessary, please do not use the remainder of the time sitting in your car checking emails or texts \u2013 other parents are likely waiting for one of those spaces to drop off or pick up their child\/ren. Parking hang tags are mailed to new families with their acceptance letters; additional hang tags are available from the Children\u2019s Learning Center receptionist.<\/p>\n\n\n\nOther spaces<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
In that same lot, there are four disabled parking spaces; you must have a disabled permit\/plate\/ hang tag to park in one of these spots and pre-pay for parking at a pay station or by using the ParkMobile, Passport Parking or PayByPhone app. There are nine parking spaces reserved for 51ÁÔÆæ Campus Police, who are headquartered in the NWQ, and four spaces reserved for vehicles authorized by 51ÁÔÆæ Transportation Service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The parking spaces with black signs reading \u2018PERMIT REQUIRED MON-FRI 5am-3pm\u2019 are only for use by faculty and staff who have purchased a \u2018Commuter Lots 34, 35, 36 Honors\/Day Care\u2019 permit. Public parking is also available in the NWQ parking garage (Lot 33) excluding spaces with signs stating \u2018RESERVED SPACE \u2013 NWQ RESERVED \u2013 PERMIT REQUIRED.\u2019 Public parking is paid for using the ParkMobile, Passport Parking or PayByPhone app, or by pulling a ticket on entrance and paying before exit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The circle driveway is a \u2018No Parking\u2019 zone. The small parking lot near the dumpster on Hartford Ave. is also a \u2018No Parking\u2019 zone. This area is reserved for 51ÁÔÆæ Facilities vehicles and 51ÁÔÆæ police vehicles. 51ÁÔÆæ Transportation Services patrols these areas and will ticket your vehicle if it is parked there, even if for only a few minutes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Safety<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
Lot 35 and the adjacent Lot 36 (Honors Lot) are one-way; for the safety of all, please only drive counter-clockwise<\/strong> \u2013 SLOWLY <\/strong>\u2013 there is a lot of pedestrian traffic \u2013 mostly our families!<\/p>\n\n\n\nOur parking lot is a very active place, with many cars coming and going.\u00a0It is imperative that your child\/ren remain by your side, or hold your hand, while you walk through the parking lot (and<\/em>\u00a0the Center).<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\nEnforcement<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
Parking is enforced by 51ÁÔÆæ Transportation Services office (414-229-4000) located on the first floor of the Student Union, Room WG25, 2200 E. 51ÁÔÆæ.
