The Children’s Learning Center is a licensed and accredited child care center committed to supporting children and their parents by using theory-based care and learning practices.

Through playing, interacting and communicating, the 51ÁÔÆæ Children’s Learning Center is committed to the growth of each child in all aspects of their life. We believe in not only providing education, but also providing a supportive and safe place for your family to grow socially and emotionally.

The 51ÁÔÆæ Children’s Learning Center is  and is (NAEYC). We offer care to children ages 6 weeks to 12 years.

Eligibility

Child care is available for 51ÁÔÆæ Students and community members. There are four categories in which to qualify: 51ÁÔÆæ Student, 51ÁÔÆæ Faculty/Staff, 51ÁÔÆæ Alumni, and Community Members. More information is available on our enrollment page.

Staff to Child Ratio

Our staff-to-child ratios are an important factor in determining quality care. Classroom ratios vary depending on groups size and age of children in group. All of our programs meet or exceed State of Wisconsin classroom ratio guidelines.

Student Parent Success Program
The Student Parent Success Program (SPSP) assists 51ÁÔÆæ student parents in their efforts to attain a higher education. Located within 51ÁÔÆæ Children’s Learning Center.

Exclusion for Illness Policy
Children and staff shall be excluded from the Center when ill.
Children need to be 24-hour symptom-free (without medication) before returning to the program.

Snow / Severe Weather Policy
In the event that 51ÁÔÆæ classes are canceled for any portion of the day due to a snow/severe weather emergency or other emergency by or before 8:00 a.m., we will be closed for the entire day.

Parent Resources at the Children’s Learning Center

Lactation Room
Lactation Rooms are available at the CLC for nursing mothers to use while on campus. Ask at the welcome desk for more information.
Family Resource Center
The CLC provides parents with access to a computer and printer in the Family Resource Center. Ask at the welcome desk for more information.
